David is the best auto mechanic I have ever known. Once I was in his shop when a customer towed a car into the parking lot. "Won't start," he said. David slid behind the wheel, cranked the ignition switch, reading the codes displaying on the instrument panel. Then he asked, "You guys been working on this car?" The guy allowed as how they'd been working on it all week. "Well," David said, "You put the wrong transmission in it." I could tell from the look on the guy's face that he'd nailed it. When my car needs something, I call David, first. Life's just too short to fool around with guys who are making guesses about what's wrong with my car.
